ABOUT

My family has always been dedicated to fashion, like my great-grandmother Pina, who opened one of the first Sicilian millinery shops in Messina in the early 1900s.

Then came my father, a former Armani model, who in the boom of the 80s was one of the major representatives for MaxMara in Italy and dragged my mother among sample models and boutiques.

Dresses, fabrics, trousers, accessories, jackets, combinations have filled my life since I was born. I used to draw them on the back of flyers, on squared notebooks, on the walls of my grandmother's living room (not exactly happy with my artistic streak on her wallpaper), but I always believed that I would not be part of that world I was growing up in.

I would have been an architect, or rather an interior designer! I studied furniture, art history, I devoted myself to painting, writing, organized events, sets ... but maybe you can't get away from your roots, they call you, or maybe they wait for you to be ready to give them attention they deserve.

I realized this a few years ago. I was looking for a daily, summer, quality dress, made in Italy. I didn't find it.

Large distributions, poor fabrics but affordable prices, too much, to the detriment of the productions of those countries that are too far away, too poor.

If what I was looking for didn't exist, I would have created it myself, and I would have used the skills of my family, my DNA, and the artistic and creative studies developed in my life path. And I would have paid homage to my land, Sicily, great mother, inexhaustible source of inspiration.

I returned home, in that world of colors that I drew on the back of the flyers, which today I see in the sketches I prepare for the clothes that will dress you, in the smile of the sartorial collaborators, all strictly Sicilian, in the search for the quality of made in Italy fabrics which bear my signature "Le Borboniche".

Le Borboniche, a brand that speaks of history, royalty, territory, uniqueness and modernity.

My creative commitment, my dedication to quality, my satisfaction in seeing it worn by you.

This is my life, this is me today
